I have worked with Tim, Nigel and the Blistering crew for more years than I care to remember: they are the only caterer I know whose fabulous tastings are surpassed by the food on the day. Our most passionate repeat client is Bob Geldof. Blistering produced spectacular menus for Bob's 50th and 60th birthday parties at home in Faversham. We returned to Kent together in September 2012 for the wedding of Peaches Geldof and Tom Cohen, where Blistering conjured what many guests described as "absolutely the best wedding food I've ever seen or tasted". Casual, rustic and authentically Italian - as per the brief - it was as refreshingly unpretentious as the rest of the day and continues to be talked about, with the few leftover glittered berry pavlovas feeding the family for breakfast the morning after.

Be careful what you wish for...
When we started planning our wedding reception we had two priorities: 1) to do something a bit different; and 2) to give our guests really good food and drink. While most catering companies we approached seemed to have a package they wanted to sell, Tim simply asked what we were trying to achieve - and offered creative suggestions and solutions at every stage. If anything did go wrong on the day there was no sign of it, and the Blistering team delivered a flawless result. Almost every letter we received from our guests afterwards included comments such as "the best food we have ever had at a wedding" and "we are still talking about the amazing food at your wedding". After a while it started to feel like many of them hadn't really noticed the bride, the tents, the speeches...

Thank you from both of us for the spread that you put on at Aynhoe. So many people commented on how great the food was, and must admit, even though was damn nervous before speeches I couldn't help but eat loads too.
